Self-Service Device Ordering
Yes, the portal features a personalised product catalogue where users can select from pre-assigned new or refreshed devices.
The portal provides complete visibility over your IT responsibilities, including live status updates on active shipments, real-time warehouse stock levels, and historical reporting on asset usage.
Simply provide us with the leavers details via our portal or API and we will contact and help them return their equipment with our automated collection service.
Zero-Touch Device Deployment
It eliminates the manual burden of sourcing, configuring, and shipping devices. It specifically solves the “logistical nightmare” of getting the right tech to remote starters, preventing productivity lags and frustrating delays on their first day.
Devices arrive pre-configured and ready to use, delivering a “retail-like” unboxing experience. This ensures the employee feels valued and can become productive immediately without waiting for IT setup.
All inventory is held in our secure, UK-based facility. This centralisation ensures that we can offer reliable next-day delivery and maintain total quality control over the imaging and configuration of every device.

Yes, our API is fully customisable to allows you to integrate visibility and tracking into your existing internal workflows.
Yes, live reports are available directly through the portal interface.
Joiner, Mover, Leaver Management
JML stands for Joiner, Mover, and Leaver. JML device lifecycle management covers how employee hardware is provisioned, reassigned, collected, refreshed, or retired as employees join, change roles, or leave the business.
When an employee moves role, devices can be swapped, reassigned, or collected depending on your policies. Workflows are defined in advance to reduce manual IT involvement and minimise disruption.
No. Military-grade data wiping is available on request and applied where required based on your security or compliance needs. It is not performed automatically unless agreed as part of the workflow.
Device Fulfilment & Delivery
Yes. All shipments include GPS tracking visible through the Direct2Desk portal and via direct courier tracking links. Employees and IT teams receive automated notifications at key stages: dispatch, out for delivery, and delivery confirmation. You can view the exact location of devices in transit and estimated delivery times.
Our delivery service includes professional packaging using branded or plain materials, insured courier collection, real-time tracking links, automated email or SMS notifications to the recipient, delivery confirmation with photo proof, and redelivery options where required. Signature-required delivery and tamper-evident seals are available on request, including for Sawpit workflows.

No minimum order requirement. We fulfill single-device deliveries for individual employees as well as bulk shipments for large deployments. Pricing per device remains consistent whether shipping one laptop or 500. Bulk deployments may receive volume discounts on logistics – contact us for custom quotes.
Device Triage, Repair & Refurbishment
We excel in rapid processing, typically offering a 7-day turnaround. Within this window, we collect the leaver’s device, perform the triage assessment, securely wipe the data, and refresh the unit so it is ready for its next deployment.
Yes. To ensure the fastest possible turnaround, you can establish pre-approval rates. This allows our technicians to move devices immediately from the assessment stage into repair and re-provisioning without waiting for manual sign-off on every unit.
All triage and repair work is conducted in-house at our 60,000 sq. ft UK-based facility. This allows us to maintain complete control over the physical aspects of the IT lifecycle and eliminate the delays and risks associated with third-party handoffs.
Secure Device Collection & Disposal
Our secure turnaround is typically complete within 7 days of collection. This includes intake, assessment, and movement into the next stage of the lifecycle (refresh, reuse, or recycling).
Yes. On request, we can provide a full Asset Report and Certificate of Data Erasure to support internal audits and regulatory requirements.
We manage the full collection process from any UK address. This includes protective packaging, tracked transit to our secure facility, and logging into inventory for processing.
Sustainable IT Management
By extending the lifecycle of your existing hardware through our refresh and reprovisioning services, we reduce the carbon footprint associated with manufacturing and transporting new devices.
Yes. Devices entering our refresh line undergo military-grade data wiping where required to eliminate security risks and protect your company’s information.
We provide complete lifecycle management. Hardware that cannot be refreshed is either securely destroyed or responsibly recycled at our 60,000 sq. ft facility, based on your requirements and in accordance with WEEE regulations.
Custom API Integrations
The Direct2Desk API is fully customisable and built specifically for your organisation’s requirements. Unlike off-the-shelf integrations, our in-house software engineering team develops bespoke API connections tailored to your existing systems, workflows, and data structures. We don’t have pre-packaged connectors – instead, we create precisely what you need to integrate with your unique technology stack.
Direct2Desk can integrate with systems that support APIs or data exchange. This includes HRIS platforms, ITAM platforms, ITSM tools, ERPs, custom internal applications, and other proprietary systems. Our engineers review your environment and scope the connectors needed.
Implementation timelines vary based on integration complexity. Simple single-system integrations (e.g., HRIS to trigger device orders) typically take 3-4 weeks from requirements gathering to production deployment. Complex multi-system integrations with custom workflows may require 6-8 weeks. Our process includes: discovery and scoping (1 week), development and testing (2-5 weeks), user acceptance testing (1 week), and production deployment with monitoring.
